EARLY goals from Sol Wanjau-Smith and Elliott Frear paved the way for Bath City’s progress against a spirited Merthyr Town.
City were made to sweat late on when substitute Kobi Preston-Watkins netted soon after coming on with one of his first touches in senior football.
But the injury-hit Romans deservedly held on to progress to the 3rd Qualifying Round for a 13th successive year.
