Benfield heartache after Akpro’s winner

A LATE header by Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro sent Wythenshawe Town through, despite a gallant battle by Northern League Newcastle Benfield who played for most of the game with ten men.
After an uneventful opening period, the first significant action came in the 28th minute, when the visitors’ George Boyd broke into the box but was taken out by Benfield’s Kieran Galbraith before he could pull the trigger.
The home player was sent off.
