WINGATE’S clinical finishing saw them defeat a Casuals side who fought hard against higher League opponents in a Saturday afternoon Buildbase FA Trophy tie.
On 31 minutes, Casuals were ahead when Max Oldham played in Dave Hodges, who fired home from a narrow angle. Wingate were level on 41 minutes when Ben Pattie expertly curled a 25-yard free-kick inside the post. Casuals came out strongly in the second half and had several chances but the visitors went ahead on 64 minutes when Rob Laney nodded home following Marc Charles-Smi...
