BASFORD left it late to progress to the first round proper of the FA Trophy by beating Alvechurch on home soil.
The hosts dominated throughout, but visiting goalkeeper Matt Sargeant was excellent until the death when 17-year-old Wayde Hines scored the opener four minutes from time.
Marcus Marshall then scored his third in two games when he ghosted in at the back post to head home Basford’s second a minute before the end.
