GOALS from James Walshah and Reece Styche spared Buxton’s blushes against Brighouse Town. It was an uneventful first half at St Giles Road, but that made way for a better second half.
The hosts had the first major chance of the match when Tom Haigh shot from outside the box, but despite a late bounce, Bucks keeper Tommy Taylor dived to tip wide. Five minutes later, and against the run-of-play, Bucks opened the scoring.
A ball over-the-top beat Joe Wilkinson and with keeper Matt Smith rushing out, James Walshaw moved between both to dink into the net.
