AS IS often the case, when Welling United host Havant & Waterlooville, the game was a goal-filled thriller.
In the 12th minute, the Wings went ahead. Stefan Payne’s effort was blocked on the line and Ade Azeez bundled home at the second attempt.
Welling added a second when Payne flicked on Kai McKenzie-Lyle’s long free-kick and lobbed the on-rushing Brad House but the visitors pulled one back in stoppage time when Joe Oastler found Jason Prior and his flick was finished by Tommy Wright.
Jamie Sendles-White could only turn a Prior cross into his own net...
