CURZON Ashton recorded their first-ever victory over Southport as they knocked them out of the FA Trophy.
Southport’s afternoon started in the perfect way as Jack Bainbridge’s powerful shot into the top corner gave the hosts the lead within three minutes.
Southport continued to dominate throughout the first half but Curzon scored against the run of play, Josh Hancock capping off a clinical counter-attack to send the sides in level at the break.
