REDBRIDGE ruined first ever outing in the competition, thanks to a stunning strike from Joe Elliott.
Kade Bagge had the ball in the Redbridge net after eight minutes, but it was ruled out for offside.
In the 20th minute, leftback Elliott moved forward and unleashed a 25-yard pile-driver that beat Liam Gooch all ends up.
The Motormen’s defence held up well, stopping numerous Stotfold attacks, while Gooch kept the score at 1–0 with a brilliant save in first-half stoppage time.
