■ BRENDAN Matthew scored four as Ascot United put Lancing to the sword in a 6-2 win.
Matthew trickled home a fourth minute opener, before Lancing levelled through Lukas Franzen- Jones. Matthew’s low-strike restored Ascot’s lead just before the break ahead of a devastating second half display.
Matthew punished Lancing for trying to play-out moments after the restart to complete his treble before visiting keeper Alieu Secka’s error gifted Harvey Killeen a fourth.
