■ JACK Duffy scored twice as Stamford pulled off a thrilling win over Hitchin.
The hosts began comfortably, looking the likelier to score but Duffy opened the scoring with a dramatic overhead kick. This lead was short-lived when Finley Wilkinson’s short cross in the box saw Connor Bartle put into his own net.
There was no relief for Hitchin as Duffy restored the lead by scoring his second. Then, to the chagrin of home fans, former Canary Trey Charles made it 3-1 to the visitors at the half hour mark.
