DAN HAYFIELD’S neat 86th-minute finish saw Bath City dump National League Boreham Wood out of the FA Trophy yesterday.
The City midfielder popped up with his fourth goal of the season to deservedly send the Romans through, as they knocked a higher-division side out at this stage for the second year running.
Boreham Wood benefited from a strong wind behind them in the first half but failed to test Will Buse, with Tom Whelan and Erico Sousa shooting too close to the home goalkeeper.
