■ SUTTON began their second attempt at reaching Wembley after when they entertained Newcastle Town at Coles Lane. Within the first minute Charlie Dowd dribbled into the Newcastle box and scored off a defender.
Newcastle hit back and equalised in the third minute through Eric Byrne.
Owen Parry put Sutton ahead in the the 54th minute when he withstood heavy pressure in the box to keep control and fire home.
