■LOUGHBOROUGH Students did enough to progress overcoming a weary looking Sheffield FC team, at a grim and drizzly Dronfield.
The Students dominated the first period, with Club keeper Myles Wright denying efforts from Joshua Strouts and Quinton Zolani Dlodlo, while Richard Allen headed the ball just wide. The visitors eventually broke through after 38 minutes as Michael Gilpin curled home an excellent shot that left Wright with no chance.
The hosts pushed in the second half.
