When will the second round proper take place?
All 40 ties are scheduled for the weekend of Saturday 15 November 2025, with the standard fixture window applying unless both clubs agree to an alternative date.
What is the prize fund for this stage?
Winning clubs will collect £3,750 from the competition prize fund, while losing teams will still receive £1,000 – another valuable financial boost for clubs across the Non-League pyramid.
What are some of the standout ties to look out for?
Chester v Clitheroe – Clitheroe head to the Deva Stadium on the back of a shock win over high-flying NPL Premier side Stockton Town. The Lancashire outfit, who sit 16th in the NPL West, will relish testing themselves against National League North opposition.
South Shields v Dunston UTS – There’s a fierce North East edge to this one. Dunston made history by beating local rivals Hebburn Town to reach the second round for the first time in their 50-year history, which now sets up a tantalising tie with the National League North league leaders.
Bedford Town v Anstey Nomads – Anstey Nomads secured a remarkable 4-0 victory over Stratford Town in the first round, with Liam Murphy scoring a hat-trick. They’ll now face Step 2 side Bedford Town, who play in the National League North, in what promises to be an exciting match.
