CLITHEROE progressed to the next round with an assured performance that could have easily seen them beat Chester by a greater winning margin than the one goal that settled the tie.
It came after 18 minutes, Harry Scarborough taking advantage of a mistake by shot-stopper George Murray-Jones and poking the ball home from close range. Chester rarely created any meaningful chances and Clitheroe, who play two levels beneath the Deva outfit, looked the more competent outfit.
