DENHAM Oliver was Sheringham’s shoot-out hero as they squeezed past host Mulbarton Wanderers.
After a see-saw encounter which finished 2-2, Oliver saved twice in the penalty lottery which followed to secure the Shannocks a place in the first round proper.
The hosts struck first in normal time, Charlie Norman’s deflected shot giving them a 27th-minute lead and that’s how it stayed until Kieran Hagan raced on to a flick-on to fire Sheringham level with 18 minutes left.
