PORTCH HURT BY FAILED FA CUP APPEAL

AFC PORTCHESTER hope the issue highlighted by their removal from the FA Cup for fielding an ineligible player despite the Whole Game System not showing a suspension was in place will be remedied for the “future benefit of all clubs”.
The Wessex League club had their appeal rejected after being booted out for playing a player under suspension in their extra preliminary round tie against Wells City.
Tadley Calleva, who they beat in first round qualifying, were reinstated to play Portchester’s first round qualifying opponents Didcot Town.
