SAFFRON WALDEN TOWN players and management staff were grateful to all the club volunteers, Lee Chapman and his associates, who had worked like Trojans to ensure the Catons Lane pitch was playable for their tie against Long Melford.
It was a special day for boss Jason Maher, who spent his first four years in management at Long Melford.
