MELTON Town won this battle of United Counties League divisions in the first ever meeting of the two sides.
The Premier North Reds dominated the early exchanges against their Premier South hosts and it wasn’t long before they got their reward.
Midfield trio of Kieran Hayes, Ryan Calver and Syme Mulvaney controlled the game with their quick inter-passing and with Kairo Edwards-John continually outpacing the Yaxley defence an early goal looked inevitable.
