Last season’s beaten Wembley finalists Great Wakering Rovers crashed out of their FA Vase at the hands of local rivals Benfleet at a bumpy Woodside Stadium.
A goal in each half from Aaron Russell and Max Jobson completed the job for the home side against their big Essex Senior League foes.
Rovers may have fancied themselves as slight favourites going into the tie against their neighbours, who were debuting a new electronic scoreboard at the ground.
