Nelson FC set sail again in the FA Vase after reaching fourth round

There was a time not so long ago when Nelson wondered when they would play in the FA Vase again as the East Lancashire club was reprieved from relegation to a regional feeder league following the 2023-24 campaign, missing the cut for last season’s edition.

There was a time not so long ago when Nelson wondered when they would play in the FA Vase again as the East Lancashire club was reprieved from relegation to a regional feeder league following the 2023-24 campaign, missing the cut for last season’s edition.
After returning this term, the Admirals are through to the fourth round for the first time.
“It’s happened by accident really,” manager Arron Ripley told The NLP.
“We agreed in the summer that our no.1 target this year is to be promoted and to see if we can have a run in one of the cups. Now though, we want to keep going.”...
