STEVE Kinniburgh has shocked Corby Town by resigning as manager. Kinniburgh, who also worked as the Steelemen’s head of academy, was appointed last year having impressed as caretaker manager. He took Corby to the Southern League Division One Central playoff final last season where they were beaten 4-3 by Bromsgrove Sporting. Kinniburgh’s assistant Ashley Robinson and captain Gary Mulligan have stepped in as joint managers on an interim basis with Elliot Sandy as their assistant. Mulligan said: “I am looking forward to the challenge ahead.”
