AARON Condon’s 37th goal of the season allowed Regent to take another big step towards promotion, as his secondhalf header saw off a determined Bury Town.
The R’s are now nine points clear with just six games left, although they were made to wait.
Condon tested Bury keeper Neil O’Sullivan in the early stages before Tom Richardson came close.
Regent continued to be denied by O’Sullivan but the breakthrough arrived when a fine move involving Richardson and Connor Hogan set up Condon.
