LEATHERHEAD edged out of the bottom four when they edged out Wingate and Finchley at Fetcham Grove.
D’Sean Theobalds hit the 29th-minute winner to leave the Tanners in the muchsough- after 20th place.
Daniel Carr fell under a penalty-box challenge in the third minute but the referee waved away the penalty appeals.
