SITTINGBOURNE ended their worst run of the season, three successive defeats, and dented Carshalton’s hopes of making the play-offs.
It was a first ever win for the Brickies over Carshalton and came thanks to a 74th-minute winning goal by the outstanding Jack Steventon.
They got on top after the interval and, when Carshalton keeper Stuart Searle saved from Gil Carvalho, Steventon was on hand to place the loose ball into the corner.
