DEBUTANT Blair Turgott gave Stevenage a share of the derby spoils with a late goal.
The game was in danger of drifting off to sleep before two stunning second-half strikes, including Turgott’s, brought this friendly to life.
First, Hitchin sub Trey Charles fired home a a powerful angled shot on 65 minutes from a Connor Vincent assist.
Then, with 10 minutes left, Stevenage levelled when Turgott ran at the home defence and slotted past Hitchin goalie Michael Johnson.
