STEVE DAVIES’ sublime free-kick was the difference as League One Rochdale claimed a narrow victory over National League new boys AFC Fylde.
The former Blackpool frontman found the top corner from 20 yards to leave goalkeeper Rhys Taylor helpless in a decent run-out for both clubs.
