NASH NETS GILLS MOVE

FORMER Maldon & Tiptree striker Liam Nash has landed a dream move into the Football League with Gillingham.
Nash hit 37 goals for the Jammers last term as they finished runners-up in the Isthmian Division One North, though they then lost 1-0 to Thurrock in the play-off final to miss out on promotion.
The 21-year-old’s prolific form had brought him to the attention of clubs higher up the ladder and has been on a week’s trial with the Gills, scoring twice in a 12-0 demolition of Chatham Town and winning a penalty in a 2-2 draw against Dover.
