1997-03: Beesley came through the ranks at Preston North End but was limited to just a couple of first-team appearances and moved on to Conference outfit Chester in August 2000 in search of first-team football. The move paid off as the striker hit 13 goals in his first season and he went on to play more than 100 times for the Blues in three-and-a-half years.
2003-08: After a spell on loan at Southport, Beesley left Chester for their title rivals Hereford United in December 2003....
