■ HARROGATE TOWNovercame National League opposition for the second time this pre-season as Gateshead were beaten. Two summer signings combined to create Town’s opener as George Thomson lifted a pass over the top of the Gateshead defence that Jordan Thewlis could run on to and guide into the top left of the goal.
Former Town manager Neil Aspin’s side had barely recovered from going a goal down before Thewlis struck again to double his tally just 21 minutes in.
