CLINICAL finishing by Enfield Town’sDrew Roberts proved the difference in a commemorative game held to mark the 50th anniversary of the tragic death by lightning of Highgate centre half Tony Allden.
In the quarter final of the FA Amateur Cup between Highgate and Enfield FC on February 25, 1967, five players were struck by lightning. Four survived, but one of them, 23-years-old Allden, died in hospital the following day.
