■JAMIE ALLEN and Kane Richards netted the goals as Dover signed off their pre-season campaign with a win at a rainsoaked Crabble.
The home side netted early in the fourth minute, Allen slotting in Richard’s low cross.
Visiting keeper Lenny Pidgley kept the hosts at bay for the rest of the first half, firstly tipping Ryan Bird’s strike around the post and then producing a similar save from Connor Essam’s header.
Orlando Smith almost equalised for Margate with his 20-yard effort whizzing past the top corner.
