■ CHORLEY earned a creditable draw against higher-tier Wrexham thanks to a stunning free-kick and a late penalty-save from Matt Urwin.
In a dominant first half, the visitors’ pace and intelligent probings threatened far more than was achieved and they had only one goal to show for their superiority at the break.
Chris Holroyd had forced a good early save from home goalkeeper Urwin, while James Jennings scooped a clear far-post chance over following one of numerous corners.
