HAVERHILL Rovers have placed coaching coordinator Peter Betts in charge of the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties Premier side after assistant boss Rod Gaffan quit.
Manager Ben Cowling is absent while recovering from hip replacement surgery and so Haverhill were left with just Betts to take the helm.
Gaffan who previously managed local sides Hundon and West Wratting and Haverhill Borough Reserves, said he felt that the club was going in a different direction but had left on good terms.
