REBELS YELL AS SEADOGS RUN OUT OF LEGS

FC UNITED of Manchester came out on top in the battle of the two fan-owned clubs – although they were pushed all the way by their hosts from the league below.
Things started brightly for Scarborough Athletic and a good spell of pressure was rewarded when striker James Walshaw headed home a cross from Leon Scott on 10 minutes.
The visitors then responded with a spell of their own, first a Jack Banister shot was saved well by Tommy Taylor and then Chris Lynch sent a left-footed shot from the edge of the box curling over the crossbar.
