LIAM HENDERSON, Keith Graydon and Adam Burnicle were on target as Morpeth Town beat Northern League side Consett.
The visitors, preparing for their first season in the Evo-Stik East Division, also saw striker Henderson miss a first-half penalty.
Michael Mackay, however, did score a late consolation goal from the penalty spot for hosts Consett.
Morpeth, who complete their pre-season with a clash against a Sunderland XI, made a perfect start with two early goals from Henderson and Graydon.
