■ CLAPTON Community FC, of the Middlesex Counties League Division One Central & East, have had to put a hold on sales of their new away kit – after they sold more than 2,500!
The change of strip has been snapped up mainly by Spanish football fans with demand so high they even had to up the price to £25 to meet VAT requirements. The kit design is based upon the colours of the International Brigade, a group who fought against fascism during theSpanish civil war in the 1930s.
