WHOEVER put Barking FC into the Bostik South Central League for next season must be, well, Barking mad!
Barking is in Essex, while teams like Bracknell Town, in Berkshire, are some 75 miles away.
The closest game will be at Harlow who will also be suffering long away trips at added expense, not to mention the long-suffering supporters.
All teams deserve derby matches of sorts. Not only is it good for fans, but the clubs need the extra revenue that they generate to survive.
