KEAR’S BACK

FORMER Cheltenham Town and Gloucester City striker Richard Kear has been handed the reins at Hellenic Premier side Lydney Town.
Kear, a UEFA B licence holder who also has a degree in sports coaching, also played for Cinderford Town, Yate Town, Swindon Supermarine, Lydney Town and Westfields, who are moving sideways to the Hellenic League for next season. He also coaches in Newport County’s youth set-up and has scouted both for them and Bristol City.
Kear replaces Mark Lee, who spent eight years at Lydney before quitting at the end of last season.
