HARTLEPOOL made it ten goals and successive wins from their opening two friendlies, both against Northern League opposition, by hitting Shildon for six.
A resurgent Pools have broken the 3,000 season ticket sales barrier and they had decent backing at Dean Street to see if they could build on Tuesday night’s 4-0 victory at Billingham Town.
The visiting fans didn’t have long to wait before they were celebrating the opening goal in the County Durham sunshine.
