NEAR THE END?: Alan Hardy appears close to selling up

UNDER FIRE Notts County owner Alan Hardy turned to loyal Magpies fans to pay staff wages at the end of another rollercoaster week which leaves two contrasting survival options for his crisis-hit club.
Hardy, who earlier this week was reported to have stormed out of a clear-the- air meeting with staff including manager Neal Ardley’s beleaguered squad over unpaid wages for June, went public in an extraordinary plea ahead of yesterday’s friendly with Ilkeston Town, the other Non-League club he owns.
