GLOUCESTER City’s teen sensation Noah Smerdon is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Chelsea’s young star Ethan Ampadu after signing for League 2 Exeter City.
The 18-year-old has learned his trade with the Tigers after being blooded from the West Brom Academy, who are entitled to an undisclosed fee for the left-back.
In all, he made 36 appearances in National League South for the Tigers last season, attracting the attention of Premier League sides including Watford, whom he spent a week on trial with last year, and Chelsea.
