Crows swoop to land their man

ROYSTON Town have beaten off interest elsewhere to sign 23-year-old striker Matt Bateman.
The frontman played a big part in Berkhamsted’s push for promotion from Step 5 last season, finding the net 43 times in 54 appearances for the Comrades.
Bateman had been training with the Crows for a short period of time and impressed manager Steve Castle during a pre-season game against Harpenden Town this week.
