NORTH Shields boss Marc Nash has challenged his players to improve on an under-par performance last season.
The Robins finished in mid-table in Northern League Division One, despite spending a large proportion of the season in and around the top end of the table.
A run of six defeats in their last eight games of the season saw Nash’s side slide out of contention for a topfour place.
Now the Robins boss has stressed that the club are keen to progress and revealed his ambition to challenge for one of three promotion spots this season.
