UNITED’S FRONT IS ABOUT TO EXPAND

THE United Counties League are ready for their new challenge after being awarded an extra Step 5 division by The FA.
The UCL currently operates two divisions at Step 5 and 6, but has endeavoured to run a third – and have now got their wish.
“We applied a couple of times to increase our portfolio to Step 4. We unfortunately didn’t get those in the previous round of changes,” chairman Alan Poulain told The NLP.
“Looking at the location of the new league which is right next door to us, slightly North and slightly West, we felt we could very much cope with that.
