FANS were welcomed back to Keys Park as the Pitmen took on Kettering in front of a sell-out reduced capacity crowd.
The Pitmen had the best of the opening 15 minutes with Rhys Thompson and Danny Glover having efforts blocked during a sequence of corners.
The Pitmen were lucky to escape when a defensive mix up left Gary Stohrer with an empty net, but his shot went wide.
An altercation between Josh Oyinsan, for Kettering, and Thompson earned them a booking each before Wesley Atkinson left the field of play on a stretcher.
