TORQUAY UNITED manager Gary Johnson was delighted with the impact of his summer signings – as the Gulls won their opening pre-season friendly against Poole Town.

Second half goals from Olaf Koszela and Klaidi Lolos helped the Gulls to see off the challenge of their Southern League South opponents – in their first game since their Promotion final defeat to Hartlepool – and the displays of United’s seven summer signings, who all featured in the game, pleased Johnson.
