SOUTH SHIELDS ended Gateshead’s six-game winning run in pre-season after a pulsating derby in front of a four-figure crowd.

Heed, without six senior players, led at the break through Adam Campbell’s tenth minute strike.
Cedwyn Scott latched on to a misplaced pass to set up Campbell, who drove home first time.
Former Tynesider Jon Shaw had a header ruled out and then superbly cleared Macaulay Langstaff’s shot off the line.
Blair Adams missed a great opening for Shields, Scott and Langstaff with golden chances for the National League North Heed ins...
