MARINERS CAN’T PEG BACK

SAM Hodgson’s second half strike wasn’t enough to prevent South Shields from losing narrowly at home to Barrow.
The damage was done in the first half when the League Two Bluebirds opened up a two-goal lead through Josh Kay’s penalty and Harrison Neal’s header.
Mariners keeper Myles Boney save superbly from Richie Bennett before being sent the wrong way from the spot by Kay, the kick conceded by Dylan Mottley-Henry.
