TORQUAY United manager Gary Johnson couldn’t hide his delight after the Gulls defeated local rivals Exeter City in their final home pre-season friendly of the campaign.
Brett McGavin’s 81st minute strike proved to be the difference for United – who also saw goalkeeper Mark Halstead make a number of crucial saves – and Johnson was quick to praise his side.
